Fibromyalgia symptom tracker: a daily log you can keep on bad days
Fibromyalgia changes from day to day, and the days you most need to record are the ones you have the least energy for. A tracker that works for you is short, uses the same words every day, and fills in a stable day with one tap.
Name your symptoms once
- Pick four to six. Widespread pain, fatigue, poor sleep, brain fog, stiffness, headache: whichever are yours, in your own words.
- Keep the names fixed. "Pain" today and "aching" tomorrow cannot be read as one row.
- Add one for anything your clinician asked about, such as a particular joint or tenderness after activity.
Rate, do not describe
- One scale, 0 to 10, for every symptom, every day.
- Sleep as hours, energy and pain as 0 to 10, so a bad night and a bad day sit side by side.
- A note only when something was different: a long drive, a cold, a new prescription, a change in the weather.
On a flare day
- Log the same symptoms at the same scale. A high number is the record you want.
- Use "Same as yesterday" if nothing moved, then go back to resting.
- Do not catch up on missed days from memory. A gap is honest; a guess is not.
Before the appointment
- Bring four weeks or more.
- Look at the month once and mark the days you want to ask about.
- Write your questions at the top of the page.
How Plainlog does it
Plainlog is a ten-second daily check-in: your own symptom names, a 0 to 10 row under each, sleep, energy, pain and one Save button. "Same as yesterday" fills a stable day with one tap. Pick a month and it makes one printable page: a symptom table with averages and days logged, a day-by-day grid, and your notes. It records what you enter and reports it back; it does not interpret it.
Price: Free for 14 days, then $14.99 once. Viewing, editing, trends and PDF export never lock.
Plainlog records what you enter and reports it back. It does not diagnose, interpret, suggest treatment or calculate anything about medication. It is a notebook, not a clinician.
