Plainlog support
Email: hello@kehrandco.com
Our promise: a reply from a person within two business days, Monday to Friday, United States Eastern time. Most replies are same day.
Before you write
The answers to the most common questions are inside the app:
- Where is my data? On your device only. Settings, Privacy explains it in one screen.
- How do I back up or move to a new phone? Settings, Export everything, produces a JSON file. Keep it somewhere safe (a cloud drive, a computer). Importing it into a new install is on the roadmap; until then, keep the file and tell us if you need help with it.
- How do I delete everything? Settings, Delete everything. Two steps; it cannot be undone and we cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.
- How do I restore a purchase on another device? On a phone or tablet, sign into the same App Store or Google Play account, then open Settings, tap Unlock once, then Restore purchase. In the web version there is no store account, so it is the unlock code instead — paste it on the unlock screen, or ask for it again on the checkout page with the email address you bought with.
- Price: free for 14 days, then a one-time purchase of $14.99. See Refunds below.
Refunds
If you bought through Apple or Google, they run the refund and we cannot: ask through your purchase history (Apple's is reportaproblem.apple.com). If you bought from us in the web version, write to hello@kehrandco.com within 30 days and we refund the whole amount, no reason needed. Either way, nothing you have already entered is deleted, hidden or locked by a refund.
Privacy and data requests
Same address. Ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, ask us to delete something. We answer within two business days. The short answer is almost always that we hold nothing you entered — it never leaves your device — so the only things there can be are a web purchase record and any email you have sent us. If we ever refuse a request, reply with "appeal" in the subject and you get a written decision within 45 days. The privacy policy has the full detail.
Accessibility
We want Plainlog to work with VoiceOver, TalkBack, larger text and high contrast, and we are aiming at WCAG 2.2 level AA as the standard to be judged against. We have not had it audited by anyone independent and we are not claiming it is fully there.
If something is unusable with the tools you rely on, that is a bug and it goes to the front of the queue. Write to hello@kehrandco.com with "Accessibility:" at the start of the subject line, say which assistive technology you use, and we will reply within two business days with either a fix or an honest date.
What to include in your email
- Which app and which version (Settings, About shows it).
- Your phone model and operating system version.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps.
- Please do not include health details, document scans or the person's full name; we never need them to help, and email is not a good place for them.
Report a bug
Same address, subject line starting "Bug:". Bugs that lose or hide data are our first priority and get a reply the same business day.
Request a feature
Same address, subject line starting "Idea:". We read every one. The roadmap is short on purpose; the app stays small.
